While with Hendricks Motorsports, Edwards worked with NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon, Benny Parsons, Geoff Bodine, Tim Richmond, and Ken Schrader. Edwards raced up and down the east coast in Modified and Late Model Stock Cars Built in the Edwards Brothers Race Shop. He was an incredible mechanic and machinist. After retirement he restored cars in the shop in Middleburg. Edwards was also an avid deer hunter and raised champion hunting dogs.
